Denella Kimura's new book, "Waiting for Wings: A Child's Journey," (Word Project Press), is her story of growing up in a farm family that experienced the Yuba City flood on Christmas Eve of 1955. It tells how her faith helped her in the aftermath of that event. Her first book, "Poetry Reading at the Panama Hotel: A Collection of Dramatic Readings," (Joy Publishing) is a selection of works presented at open readings. She presently moderates the Third Friday Open Reading at Sonora Joe's Coffee Shoppe in Sonora. She has published articles, art, photography, short stories and drama. She lives in Columbia CA with her husband.
